Zhiyun is pleased to announce that Smooth 4 has been awarded the Good Design Award 2018, organised by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion. This is the second award won by Smooth 4 after CES Asia 2018.
Founded in 1957, the Good Design Award aims at discovering new things to enrich lives and society through design. Five fundamental themes have guided ideals of the award: Humanity, Honesty, Innovation, Esthetics and Ethics. Smooth 4 received the award in recognition of functionality and ease of use. Below is judges’ comments:
The frequently used camera setting buttons are concentrated in the thumb area of the mounting stage, making it easier for the user to operate. The large square handle ensures a good grip and at the same time, ensures a large space for the internal battery, extending the duration of use. The black and white color scheme can be used for a wider user base.

During October 31st to November 4th , Smooth 4 along with other winning entries will be displayed in Good Design Exhibition 2018 in Tokyo Midtown. Various people will visit this exhibition, including designers, media, students, the general public, and overseas inspection teams.
