Competition Procedures

submissions are judged in different categories for this competition, and there are no restrictions on the number of submissions or groups for each participant.

Camera Videos Group

Content Requirements

An original video of 1 minute or longer in 1080P or higher resolution, with at least 80% of the video shot on a camera. There are no restrictions on the theme, but the designated material for the competition needs to be added to the opening of the video.

Show Your Filming Device:

Choose one of the following ways to show your filming device: Include a 15-second or longer behind-the-scenes video with your filming device shown in it; add images of you using the device to the end of the video; include device information in the video description.

Travelog, Vlog, Drama, Documentary/Humanities, Creative, Advertising/Promotional Clip.

Submission Method

Competition Requirements

Submitted works must not display any watermarks of third-party brands or platforms. Watermarks bearing the names of the participants or teams are allowed。
There are no restrictions on the number of submissions for each participant。
To maximize the exposure of submitted entries, after being uploaded to social media platforms such as YouTube, submissions can be posted to the ZY PLAY Competition page (entries will appear after 2-3 working days for approval)
Each participant understands that participation in the competition is strictly voluntary. Posting a video on any platform with the contest hashtag would mean that you fully understand all the competition's rules and agree to comply with them。
If shooting with ZHIYUN gimbals, the video should include behind-the-scene shots for the devices you’re using for at least 15 seconds.

Competition Terms

We respect and uphold the copyright of the original works of content creators. All content exposure through various channels will be labeled with the participant's ID.
Participants must have obtained the legal right to use the work, before submitting any entries involving art, film, music, text, images or portraits. Liabilities resulting from copyright disputes shall be borne by the participants themselves.
Participants should ensure the authenticity of the submitted works. Uploaded works must be original and must not infringe on the rights of any third party. If there is any infringement, any liabilities arising thus shall be borne by the participants themselves.
Organizers and partners shall enjoy the right to secondary online and offline publication for entries submitted to the official website/Lightollector, including but not limited to posts on partner or organizer's Weibo/Bilibili/Xiaohongshu/TouTiao/TikTok/Facebook/Instagram/YouTube/Twitter/offline exhibitions, etc. Regardless of whether the submission wins, the organizers and partners will have the right to use the works and the right to select fragments of the works to be re-mixed and edited for secondary publication.
Participants are required to abide by the relevant laws and regulations of the country (including but not limited to the People's Republic of China, the country to which the participants belong ), and are not allowed to upload any other forms of illegal information such as reactionary, pornographic, violent, and terrorist content. In the event of a violation of national laws and works deemed by the organizer to violate public order and social norms, the entrants will be disqualified from participating and all legal liabilities arising therefrom shall be borne by the participants themselves.
The prizes for this competition are tax-inclusive, if the prizes need to be remitted in a foreign currency, the exchange rate will be based on the prevailing exchange rate on the actual day of remittance, and any relevant taxes will be paid by the competition organizers by default.
Guilin Zhishen Information Technology Co., Ltd. reserves the right to amend any and all the contents of the terms of the competition, as well as the right to final interpretation of these terms.

Miscellaneous

If the participant violates any terms, ZHIYUN has the right to cancel the eligibility of the participant for the contest.
The prizes for this competition are as prescribed and cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash or other prizes. If the prescribed prizes cannot be provided due to other reasons beyond the control of the organizer, the organizer reserves the right to award substitute prizes of equal or higher value. All prizes are subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant service providers involved in the prize.
The organizer reserves the right to increase the number of partners or prizes after the start of the competition.
The organizer shall bear the shipping and transportation costs of the prizes. However, if any customs clearance fees and other fees arise during delivery, the winners shall bear and pay such fees themselves.

A:
People from all over the world are eligible to compete.
Q:
Can I submit a video that I’ve shot before?
A:
Yes, but only videos that were finished after October 2020 and haven’t received prizes/awards from other video contests.
Q:
I am not sure which group should I submit to?
A:
If it was shot with a smartphone, submit with the tag # ZHIYUN Annual Short Video Contest 2021#.
If it was shot with a camera, submit with the tag # ZHIYUN Annual Short Video Contest 2021#and the category tag (Travelog, Vlog, Drama, Documentary/Humanities, Creative, Advertising/Promotional Clip). Leave out the category if you’re not sure about it. The jury will determine the award according to the content if it wins.
Q:
If I submit more than one entry, will I get to receive multiple awards?
A:
You could! But each entry can only be awarded once.
Q:
Is it a must to use the ZHIYUN stabilizer in this contest?
A:
No. There are no restrictions on the devices used in this contest.

Can my submission be a non-English video?
A:
We accept videos of any languages but please add English subtitles if possible.
Q:
If I use non-English language in my captions and voiceover, would it affect the final grade of my entry?
A:
No, captions and voiceover will not be counted in the grade of your entry.

What should I do if I fail to submit my entry on ZY Play?
A:
You can submit your entry on YouTube or contact lightollector@zhiyun-tech.com for help.
Q:
Can I submit my entry to the ZY Play app?
A:
Yes, but when submitting to the ZY PLAY APP, the staff will need 2-3 working days to review and approve the entry before it can be displayed on the event page. In the event of Chinese holidays or peak submitting periods of the contest, the review will take a longer time. You can also submit to the youtube platform to participate in the contest with hashtags to help you increase the exposure of the entries.
Q:
How can I know that I have successfully joined the contest?
A:
You will be considered successfully joined the contest in either of the following conditions: You have published a video on YouTube following the instruction in ZHIYUN Annual Short Video Contest 2021 – RULES. You have submitted your entry on ZY Play and the entry is shown on the activity page.

Where can I see the winner list after the contest ends?
A:
The winner list will be announced on ZY Play, ZHIYUN official account on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter.

How to claim the awards?
A:
Our staff will contact you for award claiming.
Q:
I've won a prize, how are cash prizes paid out?
A:
The prizes for this contest are tax-inclusive. Cash prizes will be paid out by bank transfer or third party remittance service (depending on the situation). Any fees, charges, exchange losses or taxes incurred as a result of receiving cash prizes shall be the sole responsibility of the winners.
